Both Rebekah and Jamie grew up in rural central Arkansas. They never knew each other during their younger years, but as the hand of God would have it they met on a dirt road in the fall of 1998. There were sparks that flew in the midst of all that dust and they began dating. Then, on September 11th 1999 they were married in Hattieville, AR. When they met that day, they had no idea that they would now be living in Smithville, MO planting a church.
Not long after their wedding they began to serve in youth ministry at Hattieville Baptist Church. It was a great time in their lives that consisted of much spiritual growth. Rebekah and Jamie moved to Potosi Missouri in May of 2002, where they served in youth ministry for five years at First Baptist Church. They were blessed with two children, Isaac and Madelyn while living in Potosi. Jamie then pastored a Baptist church in Matthews, MO for about one year and also served as an interim pastor of Temple Baptist Church in Belgrade, MO for about six months while they were training to plant North Lake Church here in Smithville.
The Jone family have moved to Smithville to see individuals and families added to the kingdom of God while establishing a New Testament Church. Their goal is to build relationships and be involved in the Smithville community. So be on the look out for North Lake Church events in the future.
